A better way to serve our payroll clients

Jan McDermott and Co Chartered Accountants is delighted to introduce its new sister company Payroll Powerhouse Ltd. Payroll Powerhouse has been formed by Jan McDermott & Co as a joint venture with two other accountants.

Payroll has changed dramatically in recent years, not least due to auto enrolment of employees onto pension schemes. This extra legislation has led to the team spending increasing amounts of time servicing payroll which reached tipping point at the end of 2016. Now, by combining the skills and expertise of three innovative accountancy practices, Payroll Powerhouse will take on the company’s payroll administration with two new payroll experts in place and the leadership provided by the three practices.

Managing director Jan McDermott says, “This is an exciting way for us to start 2017 and will help us significantly improve our payroll offering. We expect our clients to see faster response times to payroll queries and a seamless transition to the new set up. We are in the process of moving clients to the new company and will be in touch will everyone as we do this.”

The new company is better equipped to deal with staff changes and issues based on knowledge of payroll legislation and is operating from a central, payroll specific hub with its own telephone number and email address.

Jan continues, “We look forward to introducing our clients to Julie Knowles (Head of Operations) and Lyndsey Russell as Payroll Manager. All other areas serviced by Jan McDermott & Co Chartered Accountants will remain exactly the same. With the formation of Payroll Powerhouse, we can concentrate more on the success of our, and our clients, companies and look forward to doing so throughout 2017 and beyond”
