HMRC’s credit card sales campaign

30-Oct-2014

The Credit Card Sales Campaign is an opportunity to bring your tax affairs up to date if you’re an individual or business that accepts credit or debit card payments.

If you accept card payments for goods or service and haven’t declared all your UK tax liabilities then this is an opportunity for you to make a voluntary disclosure and get the best terms from HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs).

What to do
Visit HMRC’s website for ways to disclose your information or contact us if you would like us to prepare and submit your tax return.
You will have 4 months to pay what you owe from the date you receive HMRC’s acknowledgement of your notification.

What happens if you should disclose but don’t
You could face higher penalties or criminal prosecution if you don’t make a voluntary disclosure now and HMRC finds out that you have failed to declare all your income.

Jan McDermott & Co can help individuals and businesses bring their financial affairs up to date. Please email info@janmcdermott.co.uk or call us on 0845 9000 691 if you would like a no obligation quote for us to prepare your tax returns and ensure you are in compliance with the law.
