Another successful exhibition

27-Oct-2015

Thank you to everyone who came along to see us at the LVBizExpo on 13th October. The event at the Crowne Plaza in Liverpool had a great turnout and we met a number of business owners with accountancy queries. It is the second year that we have taken an active part in this exhibition and we find it a great way to meet so many passionate business owners. We also networked with, and picked up some tips from, our fellow exhibitors so it was good to meet you too!

Our start-up specialist Rachel Wood was able to give on the spot advice to visitors on the best way to set up their business. "It's much easier, and cost effective, for an accountant to set your business up in the correct way than to set it up yourself and then seek advice. We are able to give people a quick overview of the different ways they can set up their business and then help them to follow the path that suits them best. This can save them money and time by getting it right in the first place."

Amy Wall, our specialist in the creative and digital sector, checked that people from those companies were up to speed on all the tax breaks available to them. "The Government is really keen to support certain creative and digital businesses and we can save them a lot of money by ensuring they are applying for the tax credits available to them. With a large number of  creative and digital companies based in Liverpool we enjoy speaking to them and ensuring they understand all the opportunities available to grow their businesses. I particularly enjoy the exhibitions as you never know what you're going to be asked and it tests that you have the information at your fingertips."

In addition to speaking to visitors and handing out packs we also ran a business card competition for a Chocolate Explosion. The winner was Sue Wood of  Sue Wood Millinery. Congratulations Sue!

We hope to see you at a future exhibition. In the meantime if you have any questions for us please email rachel@janmcdermott.co.uk or amy@janmcdermott.co.uk.
