Qualifications – As level Maths, AAT, Studying towards ACA

What’s your role within the company?

My days are quite varied as I’m visiting clients for three days a week, making sure they are up to date on their book keeping, accounts preparation and end of year accounts.

What do you like most about working for Jan McDermott & Co?

The people, they’re so supportive and I’ve learnt so much. I’m currently training to do my ACA qualification and Jan has been so helpful. I just wouldn’t get the same level of support at a bigger practice, not to mention the variation in my role. 

What’s beyond the 9 to 5?

Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym, socialising with friends and family. I travel when I can; I recently visited Mexico which was fantastic. The next place on my radar is Aruba, off the coast of Venezuela.  

What’s your proudest moment?

Without doubt completing my AAT exams.

What’s your favourite film?

The Proposal – I love romantic comedies. 

What’s your biggest adrenaline rush?

I’m quite reserved so extreme sports don’t usually appeal to me, but when I was younger I went on the death slide at a fairground – scarred me for life.
